Debbie Yarcheck Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Debbie Yarcheck, who passed away on January 23rd, 2026, at the age of 69.

Debbie was a devoted mother, proud grandmother, and a woman whose life was defined by service, strength, and compassion. She spent her career as a detective, where she was known for her integrity, determination, and unwavering commitment to justice. Her work was more than a job—it was a calling, and she carried it out with courage and heart.

Beyond her professional life, Debbie opened her home and her heart as a foster parent, providing safety, stability, and love to countless children.

As a grandmother, she found immense joy and purpose. Her grandchildren were her pride, and she cherished every moment spent with them—whether offering wisdom, laughter, or unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and fierce love that will continue through them.

Debbie is survived by (daughter) Madison (son-in-law) Mike, (daughter) Annalea, (son) Michael, (daughter) Addie, her beloved grandchildren Ellison, Mila, and Landon. She was preceded in death by (her mother) Pauline, (father) Michael (brother) Larry, and (brother) Richard.

She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was: a protector, a nurturer, a fighter, and a loving matriarch whose impact reached far beyond her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 7th at 11am at St. Hilary church, where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Debbie had asked that her life be celebrated with color, and guests are encouraged to wear spring colors (her favorite was pink) in celebration of her life. She always thought a traditional all black attire was too sad.
