Deanne J. "DeDe" Gilbride

Deanne J. “DeDe” Gilbride, 63, passed away peacefully at home March 12, 2022 after a long illness. She was born on November 17, 1958 in Akron, Ohio to Sally and Larry Robinson. She was a graduate of Tallmadge High School in 1976 and went on to graduate from Akron City Hospital Idabelle Firestone School of Nursing in 1978. She was a Registered Nurse for 43 years and served 40 of those years working at Akron City Hospital.

A special thank you to the nurses and doctors who she worked with throughout her career and supported her throughout her illness. DeDe will be remembered for her devotion to her family, sense of humor, great cooking and love for the Cleveland Browns. DeDe loved spending time with family and friends at the beloved family retreat on Devil Lake in Westport, Ontario. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals especially her dogs and the deer that roamed around the backyard. Her only goal for her children was that they grow up to be happy, healthy, and kind. She was preceded in death by her parents Larry and Sally Robinson, brother Dan Robinson, and mother-in-law Janet Gilbride. She is survived by her loving husband Craig of 30 years, daughter Katie (Fiancé Adam Gerzanics), son Tom, stepsons Jim (Mollie) and Mike (Greta), and sister Debbie (Dave) Heffelfinger.

Calling hours 2-5p.m. Sunday at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial 10a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
