Dawn L. Skiffey

Dawn L. Skiffey, 59, passed away August 20, 2021 after a 4 month battle with cancer.

Dawn was born in Ohio and excelled to become valedictorian of Howland High school ‘79. She graduated Youngstown State University with a Bachelors of Science, went to work as a medical technologist, then subsequently worked with her husband and became a specialist in Cerec crown and bridge.

She was a devout Catholic, enjoyed baking, playing with her puppies, and loved holding her new grandson.

Dawn will be remembered for her devotion to family, hardworking nature, and over-flowing generosity.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Stare. Dawn is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Robert J. Skiffey; son, Dr. Robert M. Skiffey (Rachael); grandson, Aiden Skiffey; daughter, Dr. Mary Skiffey (fiancé Dr. Michael Timar); son, Michael Skiffey; father, Donald Stare; brothers, Stephen Stare (Quynh Giao Vu), Brett Stare (Laurie), and Scott Stare; nephew, Vsevolod Seva Kurtov; nieces, Minh-Chau Doan and Lan-Anh Doan, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Calling hours 4-8p.m. Wednesday at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd in Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial 10a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2021 at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
