David A. Zeno

David A. Zeno, 66, passed away peacefully at home on January 28, 2021 after battling cancer for over a year.

David was born on June 28, 1954 in Barberton, OH to Michael and Vera Zeno. He was a life-long Akron native, graduating from Hoban High School and received a degree from the University of Akron, and continued to reside in the area. David had a long career at Babcock & Wilcox, Co. until he retired in 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa; his two sons, Ryan (Annie, fiancé), Eric; and his brother, Mike (Mary Lynne) Zeno.

He loved coaching and encouraging his sons in the many aspects of their lives; such as, their involvement in sports, academics, and activities. He was an avid Cleveland sports fan, and as his sons grew older he loved watching the games and enjoying craft beer with Ryan and Eric. David and his wife Melissa took pleasure in going on cruises and spending time with their dog, Franklin.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 1 from 4pm – 8pm at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home located at 39 South Miller Rd., Fairlawn, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 2 at 11am at St. Hilary Catholic Church located at 2750 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
