With great sadness, we announce the passing of Charles P. Coble. His quick wit, generous heart, strength, and unwavering integrity touched the lives of many.
Charles "Chuck" Coble, 70, passed away on April 29, 2024, after a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer. Born on August 9th, 1953, in Akron, Ohio, to Nancy Greathouse, Chuck was a man of great character and vibrant spirit who made his mark on everyone he met.
Chuck attended Garfield High School (1972) before spending 37 years with the Coca-Cola Company, where he served multiple terms as the local Teamsters union steward. He met his cherished wife, Tina, during this time and developed numerous lifetime friendships.
A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, Chuck is survived by his treasured wife of 33 years, Tina Coble (Marstellar); his mother, Nancy Greathouse; his three living sisters, his daughter, Jennifer Coble Rastetter (Rob); his son, Michael Coble (Nicole); his son, Jody Myers (Missy); and his three grandchildren, Andrew, Owen, and Kalib, whom he adored immensely. He was also a beloved family member of the Marstellar clan, including Susie and Roger Humberson, Laura and Dave Balinski, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He had a special loving bond with his best buds Jackson and Ollie, his revered Pugs. He is preceded in death by David Greathouse (Stepfather) and his sister, Julie Schreay (Coble).
He was a pillar of strength and kindness in his family, always there with a joke to lighten the mood or a word of advice. He was tenacious and a bit of a rebel, yet always commanded respect and loyalty from those who knew him well.
A memorial service to celebrate Chuck’s life will be held at the Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home (Cuyahoga Falls) on Saturday, May 11th, 2024. Services start at 1:00 pm. The family invites all who knew Chuck to join them in remembering a life well lived. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to One of a Kind Pet Rescue in Chuck's memory, as he was an avid dog and cat lover. Donations can be made via the website https://www.oneofakindpets.com/make-a-difference/ or by purchasing items to donate from Amazon or Chewy Wishlist (links on the website).
Chuck's legacy of laughter, kindness, and strength will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Amor vincit mortem.
