Carol Cianciola, 73, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away April 11th, 2021.
Carol was born in Akron, OH as Carol Ann Capatosta and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1966. She attended Kent State University and went on to work in banking early in her career. She then spent most of her career at Mickey Thompson Tires and Wheels, making sure orders were filled and customers were happy. She was always there for her customers and co-workers, just like she was for her family and friends.
Her most important role came later in life, as she helped care for her two grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as “Mimi.” She enjoyed their stories and shared many of her own and they could always count on Mimi for a good laugh! Her devotion to her son and his family was unquestionable – she was always there to lend an ear and show love and support.
Carol will be remembered for her fun, outgoing personality and her wonderful smile. She was the life of the party and never left the house without her hair done, make-up on and jewelry glistening! She enjoyed socializing with her many friends and dining at local eateries, while making many lasting relationships. She was “like a sister” to so many people and will be dearly missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Rudolph Capatosta. She is survived by her son, Michael (Danielle); and two grandchildren, Estella and Mason; her brother, Vincent Capatosta (Cynthia) of St. Louis; niece, Kristin Akin (Justin) and many cousins and beloved friends.
A private service will be held for family on April 24th, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to help support her beloved niece’s charity, benefiting those fighting HLH – The Matthew and Andrew Akin Foundation. Visit:
