Carol Ann (nee Graf) Simpson

Carol Ann (nee Graf) Simpson, 87, died on November 20, 2022 peacefully in her sleep in the extraordinarily capable care of Hospice at the Village of St. Edward in Fairlawn, Ohio.

She had endured breast cancer, heart issues, and dementia during her last few years of life. Carol lived most of her life in the Cleveland area, raising three children in Rocky River, Ohio. She moved to Akron in 1990. She was a retired Special Education Teacher.

She is survived by daughter, Margaret of Chicago; and her sons, Michael of Lakewood and Joseph of St. Louis; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Malachy, and Solia.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Leo and Regina (nee Coe) Graf, and her sister, Nancy Lee Graf.

A viewing will be at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio from 4-7pm on Friday November 25th. A Mass of Christian burial will be at St. Hillary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St. also in Fairlawn, on Saturday November 26th at 10am. Internment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
