Brian Joseph Sullivan, 71, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August, 16th, 2023. He was such a kind and caring person with a heart of gold who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He took great pride in having the right tool for every task. One Christmas, to avoid confusion, our mother numbered our gifts and Brian was assigned #4 which we kidded him about for years. But in reality, he was #1 in our lives.
Brian graduated from Archbishop Hoban High School and attended the University of Akron. His career included working full time at Fairlawn Country Club in his younger years and retiring after 35 years from Omnova in the Research and Development Division. While at Omnova, he received many awards and was recognized on several patents.
His parents, Eileen and Mark Sullivan; and sister, Maureen, preceded him in death. He is survived by brothers, Mark (Joanie), and Chris (Paul); nephews, Mark (Shannon), Matthew (Christina); nieces, Megan (Michael) and Maureen (Bill). He also had 2 grandnephews (Jackson and Miles) and 5 grandnieces (Riley, Maeve, Maelin, Reese and McKenleigh). He loved them dearly and created beautiful Irish plaques for all of them. He leaves such a void in our hearts and will be truly missed by his family.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the St. Edwards in Green. They showed such care and compassion to Brian and our family.
A private memorial service is planned. If desired, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
