Bonnie (Joanne) Koza 

Joanne Koza (nee Seibert), beloved wife and mother, passed away 4:30 AM, May 23, 2025. She is survived by her son Jim, daughter Susie and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her son Joey and her husband Joe who were married for 53 years.

Joanne’s love for her family was known by all. Her caring and compassion were hallmarks of her life. She was a long-time active member of her church, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Cuyahoga Falls. Joanne was involved in parish council, worked with the Bereavement Committee and began the Akron chapter of Compassionate Friends. She was always there when others were in need, whether family, friends or acquaintances. Her strong faith was an important part of her life.

Joanne and her neighbors from the 10th St. area in Cuyahoga Falls (where she resided for many years) have remained close and they will surely miss her contagious smile and fun-loving nature.

In addition to her responsibilities as wife and mother, Joanne’s employment experience includes working as a teacher assistant in the Nashville Public Schools, offered day-care in her home in Cuyahoga Falls, assistant jewelry manager at Jewel Mart at the State Road Shopping Plaza as well as office administrator at the Firestone and Rubber Company in Akron.

We know that our Lord will welcome Joanne home with the words from scripture: “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 11am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, where friends may call one hour prior to the mass.

Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
