Barbara J. Mullin

Barbara J Mullin, 87, passed away May 29, 2022, surrounded by her family.   

Born in Blackfork, Ohio, Barbara lived in Akron for most of her life.  Barbara retired in 2007 from The Merriman after 33 years. Her dedication and love for each resident who called The Merriman their home was apparent to all.  Barbara’s faith was also an important part of her life.  She was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church. 
Her greatest love was her family!  Family gatherings and time spent together is what filled her heart. Barbara lived selflessly for others and her genuine spirit was contagious.  
She touched the lives of many and was loved by all who knew her. 

"In life, we loved you dearly, in death, we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill."

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mullin; and son-in-law, Michael Wilkes. 

Barbara is survived by her children, Kathy Cole (John), Dan Mullin (Linda), Mary Conley (Jim), Bridgett Dies (David), Peggy Costigan (Jim), Liz Galbraith (Keith), John Mullin (Kathy); 17 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. 

Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd, Fairlawn, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 4, at 11:00 a.m. at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Akron, Ohio. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.
