Barbara Ann Lenihan, 75, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2023 with her daughter and sister by her side.
Barb was predeceased by her parents, John and Patricia Lenihan. She is survived by her three children, Amy Orsenigo (Ethan Cerami) of Winchester, MA, Mike Orsenigo (Anna) of Charlotte, NC, Jeff Orsenigo of Atlanta, GA and 7 grandchildren. Her sister, Carole Heck, her aunts, Carole Heaton and Joyce Almonte, her niece, nephew and many cousins will also miss her.
Barb was born on April 12, 1948 in Akron. She graduated from the University of Akron and earned a Master’s Degree in Education. She was a retired preschool teacher with Summit County and a Eucharistic Minister for 20 years at St. Edward's. Her Catholic faith, her profession as a teacher, and her children and grandchildren brought her the most joy.
Calling hours are 2-4 on Sunday, July 9 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn and Monday, 7/10, from 10:30-11:30 at St. Hilary’s Parish. Followed by Mass at 11:30. Private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome a donation made in her memory to Northeast Ohio Hospice or the Kidney Foundation of Ohio.
