Ann Catignani, 91, (D’Amico) (Bozzelli), went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2025. She passed away peacefully at Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls Nursing Home. Ann was born in Magnolia, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Mary Bozzelli. She lived there with her family until they moved to Akron, Ohio, where she resided for the rest of her life. A 1951 graduate of Central High School, Ann was an active and devoted parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Ann’s life revolved around her deep faith, her beloved husband Mariano, and their children. She was a steady, loving presence in the lives of her family—always offering care, concern, and unwavering support.
Known for her sparkle both in spirit and style, Ann loved glittery clothes and jewelry. In her quiet moments she enjoyed reading and doing word searches, and she especially loved to shop. Every Christmas she delighted her grandchildren with beautifully wrapped gifts, and she decorated wonderfully for every holiday, much to her family’s joy. Above all, Ann treasured family gatherings; when invited to a party, she was often the last to leave, savoring every moment with those she loved.
Ann is preceded in death by her first husband, William D’Amico (1977); her daughter, Susan Stalnaker (2017); stepdaughter, Anita Catignani (2021); and sisters, Grace DeLuca, Rose Casey and Jean Preston.
She is survived by her husband, Mariano; siblings, Mike Bozzelli, Julie Bozzelli, and Jan Boggs (Tom); daughter Debra Coudriet (Michael) of Akron; sons Daniel D’Amico and William D’Amico (Beth) of Akron; daughter Cynthia Arcuri (Tony) of North Canton; and stepdaughters Lisa Mlnarik (Chris), Judy Catignani, and Betty Rae McCuan (Pat) of Cuyahoga Falls. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Michael Kilivris (San Francisco), Mathew Kilivris (Jacquelyn) (San Diego), Nickie Ciriello (Michael) (Stow), Armon Arcuri (Berkeley), Kevin Arcuri (Kimberly) (Houston), Ariana Arcuri (Columbus), William D’Amico, Joseph D’Amico, Adena Schneider (Austin) (Akron), Augustino Arcuri (North Canton), and Anna D’Amico (Lakewood).
Step-grandchildren include Hannah Cargnel (Brandon), Sarah Bentley (Zach) (Columbus), Nick McCuan (Jen), Laura McCuan, and Evin Bell (Cuyahoga Falls). Ann is also survived by her great-granddaughter, Kiriana Arcuri; step-great-grandchildren, Mila and Sawyer McCuan; many nieces and nephews; and beloved friends.
Ann’s legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in God’s eternal peace.
