Alice O. Rudolph, 90, passed away October 8, 2021 at Akron General Hospital after a short illness. Alice was born March 23, 1931 in Hingham, Massachusetts to Alice Malone Osborn and Charles Marcus Osborn III. She graduated from Girls High School in Boston MA in 1950, attended Boston University from 1950-1952, and graduated from The University of Miami (FL) in 1954 with a degree in Art. She was married to James M. Rudolph in August, 1954. She retired from Atco Surgical Co. in Cuyahoga Falls in 1988. She was a member and Past President of Akro-Mates, the women’s auxiliary for the Akron Sail and Power Squadron, a safe boating education organization. More recently, she was a member of Cuyahoga Falls Women’s Club and Stow Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, playing bridge, and spending her summers at her beloved cottage in Marblehead, Ohio, with family and friends.
Alice was dearly loved by all and will be missed terribly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice M. Osborn and Charles Marcus Osborn III; her sisters, Charlotta Michalek and Mary Lehner; her husband, James M. Rudolph, and her daughter, Marion C. Rudolph. She is survived by her twin sister, Lillian Hanscom, of Machias, Maine; daughter, Katherine M. Schwartz (Joseph) of Cuyahoga Falls; son, James E. Rudolph (Barbara) of Stow; grandchildren, Carie, Cory, Marion, and Heather; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Local funeral services will be held 6p.m. Friday, November 26, 2021 at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Tr. in Cuyahoga Falls, where friends may call 4-6pm.
A graveside service will be held 1p.m. Saturday, November 27th at McPherson Cemetery in Clyde, Ohio.
