Alan Anthony Horak

Alan Anthony Horak, 83, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2022 surrounded by family members. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony J. And Mary E. Horak, and his sister, Janice Romanoski.
Alan served in the National Guard and spent many years managing departments at Gencorp. He then moved to the packaging machine business as Vice President and General Manager of Geo. J. Meyer Mfg. and President of Akron Packaging Machinery. In later years, he was self-employed as an investment counselor.
Alan is survived by his wife, Suzanne Horak; children, David Horak, Lisa Bryan, James Horak (Victoria), Tina Dimengo (Steven) and Sharon Weyls; siblings, Virginia Knapp (Rev. Fr. Donald), Marianne Braddock (John), Richard Horak (Mary Ann), and Michelle Gause (Larry); brother-in-law,George Romanoski; grandchildren, Jonathan, Laura, Christopher, Dillon
and Tanner; 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nursing and physician staff at Cleveland Clinic Akron General for their tender and compassionate care.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7pm on Thursday, April 28 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd, Fairlawn. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, April 29, at 11am at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W Market St, Fairlawn. Private inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery immediately
following.
