Frank L.  Quatraro

Another member of America's Greatest Generation was lost on August 29, 2018 when Frank L. Quatraro passed away at the age of 93.

He was born in Cassano delle Murge, Italy and immigrated to America with his parents in 1927. His father Giuseppe taught Frank a love for this country and a strong work ethic that he lived everyday and passed on to his children.

Frank served his country during WWII in Europe as a medic with Patton's Third Army. After his honorable discharge, he earned his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Akron and then started his career at Brown and Graves Lumber in 1950 that continued for 68 years until his passing.
Frank was an avid golfer and one of the original owners of Chippewa Golf Club. His proudest moment was getting a hole-in-one witnessed by his three children in 1987.
Preceded in death by his wife Virginia and his brothers Tony and Roxy, he is survived by his children Frank J. Quatraro, Carl (Patricia) Quatraro, and Joann (David) Libarkin and grandchildren Richard Quatraro, Melissa Bazil, Melanie Miller and Gabe Beres and  great-grandchildren Vanessa and Sabrina Bazil and Gabriel and Kamden Beres.

The family will receive friends MONDAY September 3 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn.

A funeral service will be held on TUESDAY, September 4 at Ciriello & Carr at 11:00 a.m.
Private interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, where Firestone VFW Post 3383 will conduct military services.
