Cynthia Louise () Archer

Cynthia Louise (Dietz) Archer, age 61, passed away Saturday, May 12th, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Cynthia was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania on February 15th, 1957. Cynthia resided most of her life in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

She was a 1975 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and was most recently employed as a medical assistant at Kent State University’s Deweese Health Center for the last 16 years. At Kent, she was surrounded by an amazing group of friends who supported and encouraged her every day, especially during the last three years of her life.

Cynthia was an incredible individual who devoted her entire life to enriching the lives of those around her, but most important was her devotion to her son Jonathan who was the light of her life. She always made sure everyone felt welcome and important through her generosity and kindness. Cynthia not only thought of nice things to do for others but always made time to follow through with her good intentions.

She was the glue that held her family so tight after the passing of her father in 1992.  She was selfless, and by far the absolute strongest person many of us will ever have the privilege to know.

Cynthia will be remembered for her devotion to family, and her service to others.  She will be deeply missed by everyone as she touched the lives of all that knew her.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred C. Dietz of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
She is survived by her mother, Donna Lee Dietz of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; her son, Jonathan M. Archer (Elizabeth) of San Francisco, California; her brothers, Steven C. Dietz (Cindy A.) of Virginia Beach, Va., Timothy L Dietz of Hudson, Ohio, Michael A. Dietz (Elizabeth) of Akron Ohio; sister, Kimberly A. Emahiser (Timothy) of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and a special aunt, Betty Lou Ditz of Stow, Ohio. Also, the many nieces, nephews and great-nieces, and nephews that she showered with love as if they were her very own.

Calling hours 5-8pm Thursday at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Tr in Cuyahoga Falls, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Summit County.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. Cindy and I worked together at Rockne's back in the early 90's. Always positive, always had a smile, and always made you feel happy to be talking with her. She was an outstanding person. God speed.

May she be reunited with her loved ones in Heaven and may the Lord replace her pain with her beautiful smile. She was an awesome daughter, niece, woman, mother, sister, medical assistant, friend and cousin. To know her was to love her. My dear cousin, I will always cherish our time spent together at the farm. I see your beautiful face and smile in my memories. Donna and family, Betty Lou , Johnathan and family, we offer you our deepest sympathy in the loss of such a wonderful person.

I first met Cindy in Mr. Halliwell’s Algebra class when we were Sophomores . She was always pleasant to talk to and just a good person. We had sons they same age, so we frequently would see each other at sporting events, especially the Little League Complex, North! May her memory stay close to your hearts always.

Kimmie and Jon~

I am so sorry to hear of your sister and mom's passing. A beautiful soul has gone too soon for sure. I will always remember how caring and helpful Cindy was for me at work as well as her help with Bills surprise 30th party. She didn't even know him and went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. Kim, I know you have lost your best friend and no words can take that pain away. Jon, she could brighten a room with that glow you gave her whenever she spoke of you or pulled out your pictures. She will truly be missed by so many.

May God hold your entire family extra tight during this time. Prayers to you all.

So sorry, and sad to hear the news. Cindy was a terrific person with a heart of gold. You always felt like the center of the universe when you were around her. I can not put into words how much I truly love her other than to say how much I love and admire her son, Jon, which would mean more to her than anything else I could possibly say. Tears tonight, say hi to Ken for us all

Cindy loved, encouraged, comforted, and was there for me and all of her work family. We will always miss you Cindy, and I pray that your family and each one of us at work will be comforted by the assurance that you are no longer in pain but resting in the very presence of God whom you deeply loved, pursued, and worshiped.
