Marjorie and William Fellows

Couples’ 74-year Love Story ends 2 days apart

Marjorie and William Fellows’ love story began October 10, 1943. It ended last weekend with their deaths just 2 days apart. It was a remarkable end to remarkable lives.

Marjorie “Marge” Fellows Weick died April 7,2018 peacefully at the age of 95. She battled Alzheimer’s for the past 7 years. Marge was born 7-19-22 in Falls City, Nebraska. She loved her family , gardening, shopping & interior decorating and hot pink!

William “Bill” Fellows died April 9 peacefully one day short of his 101st birthday. He was in excellent health until March when he had several strokes.

Bill was born in Troy, New York 4-10-17. He was the only child in his family to attend college. Working his way through college in a dance band, Bill attended the University of Illinois and Alford University graduating with a degree in Engineering.

The couple married in 1943 and raised 3 children together, Diane Fellows LeBlanc, Sharyn Fellows Perkins and William H Fellows II. The family resided in Wadsworth where Bill was self employed as a Management Consultant.

Bill was an Active member of the Republican Party, served for the Ohio Commodores under Gov. John Rhodes for many years, a key developer in many churches, businesses and The Morgan Foundation. He loved reading but most of all he LOVED HIS FAMILY. He said family was EVERYTHING!

The loving couple were blessed with 8 grandchildren, Shelley, Mike, Sean, Shannon, Seth, Sarah (deceased), Stacey & Scott and 18 great-grand children. Marge and Bill loved and supported every member of their family in so many ways whether it was watching a soccer game, horse show or taking them for ice cream and a drive in the country. They encouraged each and every one of us to Dream Big and never give up on your dreams!

A Funeral is scheduled for Friday,April 13, 2018 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S Miller Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio. Calling hours are 11am-1pm. Service at 1pm and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth, Ohio.

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marjorie and William’s wonderful lives. The family will host a reception at Fairlawn Country Club following the burial.

Fred and I extend our sincere sympathy to the children, grandchildren, and extended family of Bill and Marge. Companions in life, it was fitting they should be companions also in death. Their graciousness, and kindness, their love and pride in family served as an inspiration and model for us. It has been a privilege to know each of them and to have them as a part of our lives. We shall miss them.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and dear friends of Bill and Marge. They were an amazing couple and I am grateful to have known them both and to have shared moments in their remarkable life. Bill taught me to treasure simple things like spring flowers, hot water and honey, a warm hand, and light kisses on the cheek... "isn't that something!" Thank you for the lessons and the memories. I will miss them both.

Both Marge and Bill were amazing people. I and my family (Charles and Clarita Rader , Parents) knew him very well. We worked with our new church, Covenant Community) beginning in 2004. Without him and Marge we may not have secured enough funds to purchase our first building on Marshall Ave., Akron.

You could see how their hearts were one! Very beautiful couple to be admired...adding Gods' light where ever they went! Our condolences go out to the family but our hearts and love follow them to their spirits of light. We love you Bill and Marge...Marie, Charles and Clarita Rader.
