J. Robert Kessler,

J. Robert Kessler, 95, passed away on March 27, 2018. Bob was born in Spring Grove, PA to the late Creamer and Helen (McGuire) Kessler.

He attended Penn State University, graduating with an electrical engineering degree. The Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. employed Bob for his entire career spending the last 13 years as the Director of Corporate Engineering for worldwide facilities.  Bob spent the next 22 years as a volunteer and mentor for SCORE in Akron and traveling the world with his late wife Betty Lou.

His loving wife, Betty Lou; his parents, Creamer and Helen Kessler; and his sisters, Helen Bennett and Mary Lou Kinsey preceded Bob in death. He is survived by his children, John R. Kessler Jr. (Mary), and Cindy Trafis; grandchildren, John Rory Kessler, Kate Phin (James), Sarah Jane Kessler, Matt Trafis and Brian Trafis (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Declan and Hadley Phin as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are on April 6th from 6-8 pm at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls.

The 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial is on April 7th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls.
Interment is at Northlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 4724 State Rd., Peninsula.
