Katherine (Krunich) Zubovic

Katherine (Krunich) Zubovic, a life long area resident, passed away January 7, 2018.

She married her beloved husband, George in 1951.

She was employed for 10 years at Ohio Bell. Katherine worked as a secretary at Immaculate Heart of Mary School for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, was a member of IHM Council of Catholic Women, the IHM Education Commission and member and treasurer of Women's Service League at the Village at St. Edward. She also volunteered at the Akron Symphony Orchestra and Village at St. Edward Nursing Home, and was a lifetime member of the Croatian Fraternal Union.

Her hobbies included ceramics, crafts, crocheting and reading.
A former member of Christ the King Church in Akron, she has been a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church since 1961.

She is survived by husband, George; son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Mary Zubovic of Bothell,WA; son, James Zubovic of Stow; daughters, Yvonne of Ft. Wayne, IN and Denise of Cuyahoga Falls; sister & brother-in-law, Margaret & Gilbert Aumiller of Bedford; grandchildren, Tommy Zubovic, Annie (John) Salinas, Julie (Cody) Harrold and Antoine Smith; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Ava Salinas, Jack and Noah Harrold; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours 3-7p.m. Thursday at the Ciriello & Carr Falls Chapel at 810 Portage Tr.
Mass of Christian Burial 10a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer Association or one's favorite charity.
