Frank Bayer Obituary

FRANK J BAYER
Frank J. Bayer, 82, of Copley, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.
Born August 13, 1932 in Akron, he was the son of Gertrude and Jacob Bayer.
Frank retired from Ohio Edison in 1994 with over 44 years of service.  He had belonged to the FOP Lodge 6.  He enjoyed attending the Ohio Edison retirement dinners to catch up with all his former colleagues.  Frank loved meeting the guys for breakfast on Tuesdays mornings.  He will be missed.
Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Margaret “Peg” Bayer (nee Miller); his brother, John Bayer; and his sister, Katherinene Kammerdeiner.  Frank  is survived by his wife, Wilda, from Merritt Island, Florida; his daughter and son in law, Audrey and Fred Weisberg; his grandchildren, Brian and Jacob Weisberg, and many very special friends that are like family.
He loved his grandchildren.  He picked them up from school for many years and he always arrived at school at least thirty minutes early so he would not be late.  He had to get that first parking spot.
Funeral services will be held 11a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014  at Cirello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn, where family will receive friends starting at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
