Isabelle Marchetta

Isabelle Marchetta, 82, of Akron, Ohio passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughter, Nancy, November 27th, 2018.

Isabelle was born on April 30, 1936 in Akron, Ohio to Antoinette (Ruggerio) and Frank Gargano. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1955 and began her career at Ohio Edison where she was a senior executive assistant to a chief executive officer. She and her husband, Sam, were avid real estate investors and attentive owners and revered by their tenants. Real estate and managing the properties and finances continued to be her passion throughout her life. Isabelle was a member of the Sons of Italy, The Highland Square Beatification Committee and Home Builders Association. She was a volunteer to many organizations including Akron Junior League.

Isabelle will be remembered for her sparkling and effervescent presence, her feisty and charismatic charm, and her commitment to her husband and family. She was a crafted artist and talented seamstress. Her attention to detail and fashion sense were impeccable and she dazzled all who surrounded her.

She is survived by daughter, Nancy; and son, Dr. Ross Marchetta (Mary Vaccaro); as well as her sister, Rose Pierce; brother-in-law, Joe Marchetta; sister-in-law, Helen Marchetta, and many nieces and nephews.

Isabelle was preceded in death by father, Frank and mother Antoinette (Ruggerio).

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Monday, December 3, 2018, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Visitation hours are 2-6pm Sunday,  December 2, 2018 at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Road, Fairlawn, Ohio 44333.
