Heaven gained another angel, Jacqueline Oakes (Cerra), on January 26, 2019; after suffering many years with dementia.
Born October 21, 1938 in Farrell, PA to Jack & Rose Cerra.
Jacqueline (Jackie) Oakes will be remembered for her love and devotion to family & friends, her delicious cooking & baking, her love for dancing with her sisters and gardening.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and 1 brother.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Oakes, Sr. after 59 years of marriage; sister, Kathy Cerra of Florida; three sons, Brian (Kelly) Oakes of Akron, Michael (Kerri) Oakes of Michigan and Paul Oakes, Jr; daughter-in-law, Lori Oakes of Akron; one daughter, Therese Oakes-Green of Akron; grandchildren,
Rose Green, Tyler Oakes, Travis Oakes, Kelly Hoover, Marisa Oakes, Brandy Oakes and Brian Oakes, Jr, great-grandson, Trey Oakes.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 5-8pm at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd, in Fairlawn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Saturday, Feb. 2 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave., Akron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
