Clarence “Bugs” W. Whetsel
Clarence “Bugs” W. Whetsel went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2018.
He was born May 28, 1934 in Mount Pleasant, PA. to the late Clarence and Ida Whetsel. Clarence was a Korean War Veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Force and was a Color Guard for the VFW.
He was a long time resident of Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, volunteered for the Northampton Fire Department and drove bus for Woodridge Schools. He loved his family, hunting, fishing and playing his guitar.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae of 58 years; brothers, Raymond, Clyde, Carl and Larry Whetsel; sisters and brother-in-laws, Juanita (Mel) Neiderhiser, Dorothy (Joe) Franko, Eleen (Wes) Trout and grandson, Jeremy Yurich.
Surviving Clarence is brother Alvin “A.T.”; Children John Whetsel, Darlene Minne (Bob) Haug, Karen Whestel, Wayne Whetsel; 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren.
Calling hours at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. on Monday December 31, 2018 from 11a.m.-12p.m.
Funeral service immediately following with Rev. Shane Minne officiating.
Inurnment will be at Northampton Cemetery.
