Cecelia Capotosto
Cecelia Capotosto, 98, passed away July 1, 2019.
Cecelia was born in Akron Ohio on February 15, 1921, the daughter of Monica and Anthony Pawlak.
Cecelia graduated from Akron North High School. She had remained independent since the passing of her husband Angelo in 1996. She will be remembered for her love of bingo and listening to polka music. She never missed an episode of "Dancing with the Stars" or "The Bachelor." She was a great cook and an even better baker known for her prune and nut cake. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Cecelia was proud of her family's many accomplishments.
Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband Angelo, to whom she was married 58 years; sisters, Genevieve Czarnecki, Stella Hajoway, Lottie Abraham; brother, Henry Pawlak; and son-in-law, James McGregor.
She is survived by her children, Richard (Carolynn) Capotosto, Marge Shanahan, Nancy McGregor, Connie Buzek, and MaryJo (Joseph) Pugliese, 17 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 4-8pm at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S Miller Road, Fairlawn, OH 44333. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, Ohio 44310, Monday July 8th 2019 at 11 o'clock am.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
