Evelyn "Skip" Musitano, born on March 31, 1933, in Akron, Ohio, lived a rich and fulfilling life surrounded by love and family. She passed away, preceded by her parents, George and Agnes Pearce, and her beloved husband of 63 years, Dominic Musitano, Jr. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Lori (Rocky) Robinson, and her sons Dominic (Jill) and Michael (Anne) Musitano. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Taylor (Alyssa), Tony (Miranda), Tucker, Cassie, Sonny, and Sal. She is also fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Joseph (Kathy) Musitano, sister-in-law Mary Lou Musitano, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A graduate of Kenmore High School in 1950, Evelyn pursued further education at Ohio University, where she met the love of her life, Dominic. Returning to Akron, she worked at Ohio Edison before dedicating her life to raising a loving family.
Evelyn was more than a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she was the heart of her home on Vesper Dr. Her warm and welcoming nature made anyone who stepped through her doors feel like family. She took great joy in supporting her children and grandchildren, attending their school and sporting events, and fostering a sense of unity.
Beyond her roles as a family matriarch, Evelyn found great delight in her social life. A passionate bowler, she relished the camaraderie and competition of the lanes. Additionally, she loved spending time with friends, whether it was sharing laughter over lunch or serving meals and drinks to loved ones gathered around her kitchen island. Her home became a hub of happiness and togetherness.
Evelyn was not only a pillar of her family but an active participant in her community. Her involvement in the Akron Bar Auxiliary showcased her dedication to service. Her impact reached far and wide, leaving a lasting imprint on those who were fortunate enough to know her.
As we bid farewell to Evelyn, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, laughter, and a legacy of warmth that will continue to resonate through the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.
In accordance with Evelyn’s wishes, a private service with immediate family will be held to honor her life. The family appreciates the understanding and support during this intimate time of reflection, foregoing a traditional funeral.
