Catherine DiFeo

Catherine DiFeo passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 88.
She was born on March 3, 1929 to Pasquale & Nellie Pedone, the oldest of 4 children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Pedone.

Catherine attended St. Vincent Grade School & High School, graduating in 1947. She then went on to graduate from Hammel Actual Business College and was employed by McNeil Machine and Engineering Co.

She married Alfonso DiFeo on April 29, 1950 and together raised 7 children. She worked at DiFeo and Sons Poultry for many years with her family.

Catherine leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Al; her children, Mark (Adrienne), Joseph, James (Kathy), Robert (Susan), John, Lisa (Robert) Joyce, Edward (Tabitha); sisters, Antoinette Mellini of Marion, OH, Theresa (Jim) Haines and Sr. Sandy Pedone of Youngstown, OH; 24 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, many other nieces and nephews.

We had many wonderful meals prepared by her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Catherine was very devoted to the Rosary, daily Mass and her family.

We want to thank Summa at Home Hospice for their wonderful care. In a special way we thank Joe DiFeo for his incredible care for our Mother for the last year and a half.

Visitation will be held at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd, Fairlawn 44333 on Sunday from 2-6pm, with Rosary at 5:45. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Monday, Oct. 16 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. Akron,OH 44301, where friends may also call 10-11am.

Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
