Elizabeth Dougherty

Elizabeth Dougherty, 95, passed away August 5, 2017.

Betty will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grand-mother. She was deeply devoted to her faith. As a charter member of Holy Family Parish, she gave many hours of service over the years. Betty was also a faithful volunteer at St. Thomas Hospital for many years. She enjoyed her final years residing at the Village of St. Edward where she happily served as a “one woman” welcoming committee.
She was also a forever optimistic Cleveland sports fan.

Betty was preceded in death by her best friend and husband of 43 years, Doc; and sisters, Frances and Dorothy.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mike (Betty), Denny (Gerri), Steve (Myra), Chris (Tom) and Kathy (Chris). She was extremely proud of her grandchildren, Michelle, Missy, Michael, Jimmy, Brian, Patrick, Dan, Tim, Meghan, Molly; and her great-grandchildren, Colton, Hadley, Tatum, Lyla, Makenzie, Lilly, Austin, London, Willow, Kailani, Jaxon, Quinn and Declan.

Calling hours 4-7p.m. Friday at Ciriello & Car Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn.
Mass of Christian Burial 11a.m. Saturday, August 12 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church.
Interment at Stow Cemetery.

Betty was a graduate of St. Vincent High School. To honor her memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent-St. Mary Tuition Fund.

Our deepest sympathy in the passing of our mom Rose's dear friend Betty. Those two shared a lot of life's experiences during their regular phone calls. May they now both be enjoying the joys of Heaven.
