Joseph Paul Miletich

Joseph Paul Miletich died on Thursday morning July 13, 2017 in Hudson Ohio. Born on March 23, 1917 in Donora PA, Joe was a long time resident of Akron and the surrounding area.

His 100 years were active and rich with memories.  He worked at various times as a house painter, truck driver, parts manager and radio repairman, and he maintained and repaired everything he owned. His hobbies were water skiing and ham radio.

He is fondly remembered for his infectious smile and stories, especially those of his time in the Army Air Corps in North Africa, Italy and England in WWII, where he was awarded two bronze stars.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and John; his brother, John; his sister, Mary; his wife of 61 yrs, Bernadine, and his daughter Marjorie. 

He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn; his son, Joseph; his daughter-in-law, Melissa; and his grandchildren, Mikayla and Maxwell.

Funeral services will be held 10a.m. Monday, July 17 at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home in Cuyahoga Falls.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

I recall Joe being a very kind man during childhood family visits. My father Drago, his first cousin, always spoke very highly of him. He will be remembered.
