Calvin Lee Kemp

Calvin Lee Kemp,91, of Cuyahoga Falls  passed away May 8, 2017. Born on May 17, 1925 in
Norton,West Virginia, he was a long time Akron area resident.

Calvin honorably served his county in the Marine Corps. during WW II and was a journeymen carpenter with Local 639.

He enjoyed bowling,camping,gardening and was known for his “two note whistle.”
Calvin loved watching the Black Tiger's Band, especially the years his daughters participated.

In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ruth and son-in-law, Jim Hessle.

He is survived by daughters, Donna (David) Reed, Debbie (Dana) Morrow and Linda Hessler; son, Craig Kemp; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at National Church Residences, especially Kim, Kelly, Stephanie, Mandy, Jackie, Cassie, Bethann and Steve for the wonderful care they provided for our Father.

Pastor Stephen Cisney will officiate funeral services 11am Friday at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Tr in Cuyahoga Falls, where friends may call 10am until service time.

Interment Northampton Cemetery where Firestone VFW Post 3383 will conduct military services.
