Frank J. Doman passed away on June 1,2012, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Born May 24, 1923 in Cleveland, Ohio he graduated in 1940 from West Technical HS and retired in 1985 from Ohio Honing and Hydraulic in Euclid. Frank was a WWII Coast Guard veteran serving on the USS Eberle AP123. Frank was also a member of the American Legion Post 281 in Cuyahoga Falls.
Frank was predeceased by brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy; his brother, Ernest; his son, Frank R. (Kathy), and his daughter Diane Cavanaugh (Curran). Frank is also survived by grandchildren, Jennifer Wade (Cavanaugh), Carey Cavanaugh, Dr. Amy Buszkiewic (Doman), Frank P. Doman, and Mary Doman, and also 3 great grandchildren, Luke and Ella Wade, and Leah Buszkiewic.
Calling hours will be held at Ciriello and Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn, on Sunday June 3rd from 4 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Hilary Church, 250 W. Market St. in Fairlawn on Monday, June 4th at 9:30 AM, followed by a brief military presentation at the church. A luncheon will be provided at the church immediately following. A private family burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman Ohio, later next week. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
